"It is important to be dedicated to your craft, so when you produce something, it is both useful and beautiful"
I’m a graphic designer with a creative visual approach to challenges, a wide skill set, and a focus on concept and idea development. I have a broad interest in the arts, media and culture, and like to engage with them in a creative and visual way wherever possible.

I enjoy working on multimedia projects which span different applications and disciplines. Previously I've worked with various printmaking techniques, had my own darkroom, and experimented with bookbinding. Recently, I've been dabbling in UX design, and basic coding. My strengths as a designer lie in developing a cohesive visual approach for projects. This is focused around critically assessing a brief, generating creative solutions, and producing a visually and technically sound layout.

I've been working on a large personal project for the last few years, a role playing game system called Regeneration (take a look). I intend to publish the system as a range of printed materials, digital assets and interactive tools. It's quite an intensive project, balancing content creation and visual experimentation, but one which I am thoroughly enjoying.

"Every single element should justify it's inclusion, and have meaningful impact"
I graduated from Northampton University with a first class honours degree. During my time there I explored my interest in visual communication, concept, imagery, fine art and photography. Since graduating, I worked for nearly four years as a key member of a small design agency with big clients. I was responsible for the formation, creation and delivery of their biggest projects, and have been involved with every aspect of the business. Since then, I've moved on to bigger challenges working as a designer in an international software company.

I've recently purchased my first house, so I've been experimenting a little with interior design, and exploring my love of horticulture. My spare time is spent reading - mostly science fiction, classics and poetry - listening to records and gaming. After a bit of a hiatus I've started drawing and painting again, as another outlet to explore my visual thought process.
